BRIDAL GOWN CLEANING & HEIRLOOMING BY UPTONS
UPTONS is a proud member of the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists™ and is pleased to offer expert care for your precious dress both before and after your wedding day. Before cleaning and then boxing, our highly trained professionals will assess your gown to determine an appropriate solution based on the fabric, embellishments, and intricacies that make your dress unique. We are trusted specialists and will go over every inch of your gown during each stage of our meticulous process to ensure its proper treatment.

PRE-WEDDING CARE

We regularly assist brides with dress cleaning, repair, and steaming before their big day occurs, especially if their gown has been handed down through family or friends or if they will be wearing a beautiful vintage style. To ensure that we are able to assist you in a timely fashion, please get in touch with us at least 4 weeks before your wedding day to book your services.

For gowns with extra fabric, special details, or deep stains, you will want to reach us even sooner. To receive a quote for services or inquire about timing, you are welcome to call us directly. You may also provide us with photos of your dress via email to info@uptons.com.au, and one of our wedding dress experts will reach out to you.

POST-WEDDING CARE

After your wedding, it is important to have your dress cleaned and pressed. It will no doubt have collected everything from food and spills to dirt, dust, and makeup. While these are the results of a great event, they can be dangerous when left on a delicate dress.

For a small charge, we can preserve your gown after the cleaning process in a specially designed wedding gown preservation box. Each dress is professionally packed with acid-free tissue paper and then tape-sealed in your own personalized wedding gown box. Our many years of experience with wedding gown care will ensure your dress can be kept as beautiful as the day you purchased it.

We have a wedding gown specialist on site who supervises every gown we clean. We will not be beaten on the quality of our work.

STORAGE OF YOUR WEDDING GOWN

Gowns should be stored in cooler temperatures, low humidity, with proper air circulation, and away from a direct light source to prevent yellowing, odor, or other signs of aging.

If you choose to have your dress professionally boxed, avoid storing it in basements or attics—the top shelf of a closet is a great option if you have such a space.

SCHEDULE A CONSULTAION

Even with photos, it can be difficult to estimate the time required for cleaning without us handling and inspecting your gown firsthand in one of our stores.

We encourage you to reach out to us as soon as possible to schedule a consultation with one of our in-house gown specialists to discuss any questions or areas of concern and receive estimates for pricing, scheduling, or special requests. Please feel free to stop by and ask for our specialist in-store for any urgent requests.
